Mr. Bevan

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE – Mr. Bevan graduated from SUNY Albany with a BA in English Literature. In 2001, he received his Masters in Education from The College of Saint Rose. His first experience teaching was as a substitute for BOCES. He later took a temporary position for an English Instructor on maternity leave at Averill Park High School. Finally in 2002, Mr. Bevan became an Alternative Education teacher / Integrated English Instructor for us at Capital Region Career & Technical School, for both Albany & Schoharie, NY campuses. Mr. Bevan piloted out TCP (Technical Communication & Portfolio) integrated English program back in 2002, and still teaches it today, as the longest running integrated English teacher in our system. ARTS – Mr. Bevan is also an author. As a ghostwriter in 2014, he penned Kamala Speaks, the official autobiography of James Harris, a retired WWE wrestler who lost both legs to diabetes. Mr. Bevan launched and fully funded a Kickstarter campaign by himself to write and print the book from interviews he conducted with Harris and many other top WWE wrestlers. AWARDS – In 2007, Mr. Bevan was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to act as an educational Ambassador from America to Japan. Mr. Bevan spent about 6 weeks in Japan, visiting many different schools in both Tokyo & Kumomoto, Japan. PROFESSIONAL DJ – Mr. Bevan is a mobile/event DJ, providing high quality music and entertainment services for wedding receptions, sweet sixteen parties, corporate events, school proms & dances.

He comes from a background of being an experienced professional sports announcer with experience announcing for many different sports from track and field to cheer leading competitions. Mr. Bevan specializes in ring announcing for fighting sports including mixed-martial Arts (MMA), boxing and professional wrestling matches including WWE wrestling.
